NYVIC Needs Your Help

Dear Friends,

NYVIC (New Yorkers for Vaccination Information and Choice) has never had a large team to host its support meetings, but now our are ranks have been thinned by the departure of two team members who have moved out of New York state. As a result, continuing our support meetings, at least in a monthly form, may only be possible if we get a few of you to join us on a fairly regular basis, with the goal of becoming a member of the core team. This would not require an encyclopedic knowledge of all things having to do with vaccination in NY, nor public speaking skills. A willingness to maintain an active interest in the subject and a desire to show support to the moms and dads who turn to us for help is all that is required.

Many people (you may well be one of them) have told us that the real value of our monthly meetings is the strength and inspiration they experience by just arriving and finding out that they are not alone - that the important questions they are asking have been, and continue to be, asked by others. That being the case, if you could commit to joining with us every other month it would be a great service to our visiting parents and the overworked NYVIC team members. Be assured, you would not be required to run meetings or take on any duties you do not feel ready for, but to simply help the team leader by being there and assist in whatever way you can.

We hope you will respond to this invitation by contacting us. Please feel free to ask whatever questions you wish.

Thanks,
the NYVIC team

You are cordially invited to meet us in person. Regular public meetings are held in Manhattan, during which parents and patients share their questions and concerns. Please check the Support page for schedules.
